AadiLabs
FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is Aadi Labs an accelerator?+

Not in the conventional cohort-and-workshop sense. Aadi works hands-on at the zero-to-one stage to validate, build and launch ventures.

Is Aadi Labs a software agency?+

No. Build Lab does not simply execute a specification. Aadi participates in product decisions, validation and venture-building, and is economically aligned with the outcome.

How much equity does Aadi take on a founder-led venture?+

Typically between 3% and 7%, depending on how deep our involvement is and the engagement model. Direct investment, if any, is separate.

Does every venture at Aadi have an outside founder?+

No. Some ventures, usually ones built from an Aadi thesis or an experiment worth continuing that has not found the right outside founder, are led in-house by people we hire or develop through Talent Lab. In those cases Aadi retains the venture's core equity as the studio of origin, and builds the team and leadership around a generous ESOP pool.

Do I need a technical co-founder?+

Not necessarily to start the conversation. But Aadi is not a permanent substitute for a strong founding and leadership team.

Do I need revenue already?+

No. Aadi is specifically designed for the stage before the business is fully proven.

Will Aadi invest in my startup?+

For the ventures we believe in, yes — we write the first check ourselves, then help connect you with the right investors for your first round.

What happens if the experiment does not work?+

The experiment is archived, the learning is retained, and Aadi's internal talent can be redeployed to other ventures. Not every experiment is expected to become a company.

Can I build one of Aadi's ideas?+

Yes. Selected Venture Lab theses are published specifically to attract founders and teams who believe they should own the problem.

Can Venture Fellows become founders?+

Yes, but the Fellow program is primarily designed to develop exceptional startup leaders. Founder is one possible path, not the default destination.
